Rome is such an overwhelming place! Because of my boyfriends birthday we spent a couple of days exploring the incredible amount of historical heritage the city possesses. Though we have visited most of the main sights there's still so much left to see - therefore I guess Rome and I will meet again soon! I'm already missing its delicious ice cream, magnificent red wines and tasty food. Also we were incredibly lucky as regards the weather: think clear blue skies and warm winter sunbeams. The sun made us forget about winter and cold instantly. Have any of you guys ever been to Rome or intend to visit? Also still wanted to share with you some of the restaurants we loved below!

Love, Anne

Da Enzo Via dei Vascellari 29
Although Da Enzo is hidden in a quiet street, the restaurant is a real gem. Because of their reasonable prices and tasteful Italian food the place is flooded by locals. Make sure to reserve because they have limited space.

Alle Fratte di Trastevere Via delle fratte di Trastevere 49
One of my favourite restaurants from our trip to Rome. Their assortment of bruschettas, pasta salmon and grilled shrimps were just perfect to me. Including a bottle of tasty Italian vino rosso we had a perfect evening.

Trattoria Vecchia Roma Via Ferruccio 12B/C
When you're looking for a good Italian pizza this is your place to be.

Carlo Menta Via della Lungaretta 101
The best place to grab a quick lunch or to have dinner when you're out on a budget. Pizza margarita for only 3 euros!

Bocca di Mama Via Arenala 17
Great and tasty ice cream for reasonable prices. Generally the ice cream in Rome is quite expensive, but this place is definitely a go! Make sure you try their dark chocolate ice cream because its de-li-cious.

Gelati di San Crispino Via della Panetteria 42
Amazing ice cream, but with a bit more limited assortment of flavours. This place is located close to the Trevi fountain and sure worth a visit when you're searching for a typical Italian Gelateria.
