The Factory Cafe 2/55 Moo 3Aow Leuk Road
This was one of my absolute favourite spots for lunch on the island. Think of avocado toast with poached egg, great ice coffee, homemade banana pancakes with coconut flakes and dark chocolate sauce and last but not least yummy smoothie bowls. Like you can see on the pictures we took, it all looked (and tasted) so incredibly good. Besides of their amazing food The Factory's interior is also quite cool - lots of wood and modern design - and on Sundays they often throw cool techno/deephouse parties. Make sure not to miss the laid-back vibe of this healthy food spot (with lots of vegan/vegetarian options) when you're on Koh Tao!

Just saying one thing: blueberry apple pie. Please make sure to try this homemade piece of heaven because I'm sure you will adore it. After we had our first piece we just had to come back to this little bakery on a daily basis. Besides their incredible apple pie they can also prepare you some really tasty sandwiches (the pumpkin hummus one was my fav) and also their coffee is very good.

Living Juices Sairee village
For the best smoothie bowls on the island you should be at Living Juices. They're a bit more expensive than average but so worth it! This was our favourite spot for breakfast.

We discovered this lunch spot only during our last day on the island but fell in love immediately. Incredibly tasty Mexican food (especially their burritos/wraps and enchiladas), tasty smoothie bowls and yummy juices, coffees and my personal favourite: matcha latte. Loved it!

I Love Salad 22/35 Moo 3Chalok Baan Kao
What I loved about this restaurant is that you're able to mix and match your own salad. So if you feel like eating healthy after a night filled with cocktails at Sairee Beach then make sure to stop by at I Love Salad!

Munchies 9/207, Koh Tao
This local restaurant serves some really good and fresh sushi. Make sure you try their smoked salmon with cream cheese inside out roll because it was the best!

Seafood by Pawn 2/77 Moo 2Mae Haad Village
Of course we couldn't spent an entire week on an island without eating fresh seafood. We read a lot of great recommendations about this place on the internet and all our expectations became true. Also the owners of this place were so incredibly friendly and hospitable!

Porto Bello Bistro Sairee village
I have to admit that I'm an enormous pizza addict. Therefore I of course couldn't spent a week on Koh Tao without trying out its best Italian restaurant. Absolutely loved the food and pizzas here.

Indie Cafe 14/143 Moo 1, Sairee Beach
A great place to have lunch during the heat of the day when you're spending the day at Sairee beach (or to cure your hangover with an extended breakfast). One of my favourite dishes was their smoked salmon bagel - yum!

Vegetabowl 9/281 Moo 1,Sairee
For fresh vegetarian/vegan food and the best salad bowls on the island this is your place to be.
