STONE TOWN PHOTO DIARY + RECOMMENDATIONS

Photos by my dad & me
Stone Town: the old part of Zanzibar City, which is the main town of Zanzibar. We visited the House of Wonders, Old Fort (which you can see on the first and seventh picture), Forodhani Gardens and many more beautiful (stone) buildings. Also we stumbled upon a big local market which I found really interesting since I love to peek around searching for hidden treasures. My recommendations as regards places to eat in Stone Town:
Amore Mio: Are you craving for a cooling down during the heat of the day? Then his little Italian restaurant is your place. It's one of the few places on Zanzibar you can get some serious ice cream - including a magnificent sea view. Shangani Street, Stone Town
Mercury's: The perfect spot for a romantic sunset diner at the sea side. Great ambiance and they serve a big variety of good food - from pizza to seafood to more traditional dishes. Mizingani Road, Stone Town
