HOTEL REVIEW: DUSIT BUNCHA

Waking up in a cosy wooden private villa with an incredible view over beautiful Koh Nang Yuan was probably one of the best things of our two-night stay at Dusit Buncha resort on Koh Tao. Although we didn't have the best luck regarding the weather (it was quite rainy and stormy during our last days on the island), we had such a blast exploring Koh Tao from here. Sairee village can get pretty crowded during both day- and nighttime so it was such a pleasure to have an atmospheric hideaway to relax to the fullest.
The resort offers several types of accommodation, like private villa's with or without a sea view, small apartments and normal rooms. We stayed at one of their Deluxe Villa's Romantic, which was such a blast because of the amazing views and outside bathroom. Dusit Buncha kinda felt like a small atmospheric village with all its different stairs, pathways and wooden villa's. The fact that you were able to go snorkelling in front of the resort was also really nice, we even spotted a big barracuda fish! How cool is that? Next to snorkelling you can also do a fun boat tour around the island or take a shuttle boat to nearby Koh Nang Yuan island from Dusit Buncha. The friendly and helpful staff can arrange this for you any time, so don't hesitate to ask. Another big plus was the fact that the resort offers a free shuttle service to both Sairee beach and the harbour a couple of times a day (since taxi's are extremely overpriced on Koh Tao). Last but not least the breakfast was very tasty and included all we needed, like pancakes, eggs of your choice, lots of fresh fruit, yogurt and even muesli - yum!
All together I would really recommend wonderful Dust Buncha Resort as a place to stay on Koh Tao. Especially the magnificent views, cosy villa's and friendly staff are really worth it!
