A month ago I visited Sri Lanka together with my boyfriend - we travelled around the country for 2.5 weeks and visited a lot of beautiful places. On the last days, we had the pleasure of staying at 'The Kip' for two nights. The Kip is a luxury hideaway located at the south coast of Sri Lanka, and it was definitely one of my favourite accommodations on our travel! This B&B is located in an old (renovated) colonial villa, and everything about this place is just perfect. I fell especially in love with the dreamy interior - imagine white and pink walls, plants everywhere, a swing (!), a super stylish bedroom, and the most beautiful of courtyards. The Kip is all about relaxing, and enjoying the 'slow life' as the owners like to call it. We loved it.

Besides the beautiful decoration and interior, the owners Phoebe & Seddy are the kindest hosts you can imagine. They used to live in Australia, but decided to chase their dreams and moved to Sri Lanka to start this little oasis. Phoebe & Seddy were so welcoming and tried to help us with everything. They gave us a lot of insider tips about the surrounding area - including restaurants, things to do, beaches and so on.. Really helpful!

The location of The Kip is also great. Five minutes by foot, and you're finding yourself on a quiet but very beautiful beach. All the popular spots like Weligama, Unawatuna and Galle are also close by and easy to reach by tuk-tuk or by bus. The beaches of south Sri Lanka are known for their surfing, so if you're into surfing then this is definitely your chance to catch some waves.

All together: The Kip really is a hidden gem, and I can't recommend this place enough. The owners, Phoebe and Seddy, created the perfect oasis to make your time in Sri Lanka unforgettable!

Love, Merel
