Entering the beautiful building of the LaLiT London was like walking straight into an Indian fairytale. The floor of the entrance hall was stunning because of its black and white pattern tiles and the old style furniture was really atmospheric. Also our room was a mix of modern and Indian styles.

The friendliness of the staff reminded us of the people from Sri Lanka (which is often called India light), since they were constantly smiling and so help- and thoughtful. In the evening my boyfriend and I were invited for a three-course Indian style dinner in the hotel restaurant: Baluchi. As a starter I ordered the scallops which were some of the best I've ever had. Accompanied by a bottle of good wine we shared two other delicious seafood dishes (tandoori prawns and sea bass - yum!) as a main course and ended our dinner with a few scoops of home made ice cream. Because of the ambiance of the dining room it felt like we weren't in London at all, which made the experience even more fun. After dinner we closed the evening with a few special cocktails in the bar of The LaLiT and dove into our kingsize bed completely satisfied afterwards.

The next morning the food game continued with an extended breakfast including freshly baked pastries, yoghurt, granola, fresh fruits, typical english breakfast stuff (like beans, bacon, sausage and eggs - which are not exactly my cup of tea if you ask me) and so on.

All together we had such a comfortable and amazing stay in The LaLiT, and therefore I would really recommend the hotel. Thanks for taking such good care of us and making our visit to London even more special!

Love, Anne
