Cafe Clock 7 Derb Magana, Talaa Kbira, Fez
One of the most well known restaurants of Fez I would say, everybody knows Cafe Clock. This restaurant is close to the blue gate, but not that easy to find - as it is hidden in a small narrow alley. Luckily there are some signs around that will help you with finding your way! Once you get there, climb all the way up until you have reached the rooftop terrace. Cafe Clock offers different dishes, but I would definitely recommend the camel burger. Cafe Clock is the only restaurant in Fez which serves this special burger, so even more reason to order it!

Restaurant Jardin Chrifa 16 Derb Bennis, Douh, Fez
This small restaurant is located inside a riad: Riad Jardin Chrifa. We made a reservation on forehand, as there are not that many tables. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the sweet staff and they made up a table for us in their cute courtyard. Restaurant Jardin Chifra works with three course menus (a lot of restaurants have this in Fez) so you can choose from one of their delicious menus. Expect to pay around 150/200 dirham for a menu, maybe a little more expensive than other restaurants but it was certainly worth it! Especially the pastille was really good.

Restaurant Dar Tajine Fes Derb Elghorba 71, Ancienne Medina, Fez
On our last day, just before we headed off to the airport to catch our flight back to the Netherlands, we had lunch in this lovely restaurant. Just like many others restaurants in Fez, Restaurant Dar Tajine Fes owns their own rooftop so the perfect place to have our last lunch! This restaurants also offers a three course menu for 150 dirhams. Once our first course arrived, we were amazed by the amount of food we got. They served us 15 small dishes with all kinds of different vegetables. After this we got the head course (very good pastille) and as a dessert some fresh fruit. Since the amount of food is so much, I would recommend to share a three course menu as lunch, or head here for dinner at night!

Nagham Cafe 49, Place Iscesco Kasbat Boujloud, Fez
Located just outside the medina, a couple of steps away from the blue gate. Climb all the way up to the rooftop terrace, and enjoy the views over the city. This restaurant is probably one of the cheapest restaurants we visited during our trip in Fez, and the food was also really good! We both had the tajine, but they also offer other traditional Moroccan dishes like pastille for example.

The Ruined Garden Siaj, Sidi Ahmed Chaoui, Fez
This restaurant is really something special. You can already tell by its name, but this restaurant is located inside an old 'ruined' garden. Escape from the hustle and bustle in Fez, and relax in this beautiful ruined garden surrounded by trees, plants and singing birds! Their food is also good and not too expensive, so recommend it!
