Beautiful Graz is the second-largest city in Austria after Vienna - and quite different from the capital. Whereas Vienna is classy, a bit elitist and big, Graz is very cute, cosy, colourful and atmospheric (especially in summer time!). Unfortunately we only had the pleasure to stay in town for one night. But luckily we had the opportunity to discover at least two incredibly good ice cream shops - since a day without ice cream is a day not lived, don't you agree? We think the best thing you can do when in Graz is making a stroll along a few of its cute squares and climb the many stairs of the centre hill for the best views over the city.

For the best food and ice cream make sure to visit:

Der Steirer Belgiergasse 1
We were so lucky that there was still some space left at this atmospheric restaurant, since we were incredibly hungry after the long drive from the Netherlands all the way to Graz. Everything we ordered was super delicious: from the traditional Wienerschnitzel to their homemade apple cider drinks - yum!

Sax Eis Sporgasse 13
This was our number one ice cream favourite in Graz. Every flavour we tried was really tasty, and since it was so hard to choose from their variety of flavours we just had to order a second ice cream after we finished our first (oops).

Eis Greissler Sporgasse 10
This ice cream shop is also located in Vienna and is known for serving very good ice cream. So in case you're in for a second ice cream why not just try them both? Make sure to try their apple pie flavour!

Love, Anne & Merel
